hkcmd.exe Process

Process hkcmd.exe is Intel graphics card related procedures for configuration and diagnostics related equipment, often in igfxtray.exe appear together, it is generally used to respond to and display-related hotkeys, such as the Ctral + arrow keys to rotate the screen. However, the process often used by hackers, or Trojan, need attention. It is not a virus, but the virus may be replaced. If the antivirus software does not give warning, should not worry.

Because Windows display properties can be basically completed the adjustment of display settings, it may prohibit the operation of the process hkcmd.exe to save the system resources.

2. End of the process, the method hkcmd.exe

On the Start menu, click Run, type regedit into the registry, locate the \ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run key, delete the HotKeysCmds subkeys. The following figure:

Remove Task Manager after the completion of the hkcmd.exe is still running, but restart the computer, you will find the process hkcmd.exe no longer exists. And later when you start your computer it will not appear.

3. IgfxTray.exe processes and process the relationship between hkcmd.exe

Process igfxTray.exe and process hkcmd.exe generally appear together, they are all Intel graphics card related procedures, but their functions and tasks performed by different processes in the system tray igfxTray.exe will be used to generate a set Computer Display Properties icon in the tray. Hkcmd.exe is the process used to respond to the display control shortcut keys, they all can end, and the closure of the two processes to run as usual after the system. Memory, the user can try a small closure of the two processes to free memory.
